The week-long course I did with my husband and two kids (ages 8 and 11) was fantastic. We had varying levels of Spanish (from virtually none to intermediate) and Lorena did an amazing job at adjusting the class level for each of us. She prepared fun games for the kids and had interesting conversations (even with our very limited Spanish) with adults. The activities and hikes she organized were lovely, and the scenery was beautiful. Lorena and Pablo also prepared delicious meals for us, both at their home and for picnics, including accommodating two vegetarians. Most memorable of all though, they were so patient, kind, and generous. If you want to improve your Spanish in a beautiful area with incredibly nice teachers while eating delicious food, we would highly recommend a course with them!

I have just returned from a week with Lorena and Pablo and totlally recommend the experience. I have learned so much and been immersed in all things Spanish. They were both so generous and welcoming and nothing was too much bother. The scenery is amazing and adds to the experience. Thank you!

Nos vacaciones en el Pirineos nos encantaron muchísimo!

Empezamos en Vera de la Bidasoa, cerca de St Jean de Luz, despues algunos días en Olite donde visitamos las Bardenas Reales. Después cuatros días en la Siera de la Guara con la naturaleza muy bonita y tranquila en las Almunias cerca de Rodellar. Ahora esta el quinto y ultimo día de nuestro curso “Mountain & Language”. Hemos disfrutado este curso muchísimo! Hemos parado en la casa de Pablo y Lorena.  Nuestra profesora era Ana. El curso se componio de 4 horas en la mañana, 2 horas de gramática y 2 horas practicar, paseando fuera en la naturaleza, conversaciones y las palabras de varios asuntos. Pablo y Lorena nos han dado un muy cordial acogida, la profesora Ana igualmente con mucho sentido de humor y ademas muy profesional. La casa de Pablo y Lorena está situada en un muy bonito pueblo Tramacastilla de Tena con una vista espectacular y maravillosa de su terraza. Cada noche hemos cenado fuera la cena que Pablo cocina de productos locales con un vino de la región. Y todo con una alegre y gratificante amistad. Esta mañana hemos empezado aprender un poco el presente subjuntivo!

Este curso estuvo un muy grande exito!  Le recomendamos a todos los otros alumnos.

Nuestra semana en los Pirineos estuvo una gran fiesta.

Hablamos español de las 8 de la mañana hasta las 10 de la noche!

Pablo es un profesor de español fantástico y también un excelente cocinero, y guía de montaña.

Su tortilla es deliciosa, y también comimos morcilla un poco raro pero muy rica! Hicimos mermelada de moras que habíamos recogido nosotros mismos.

Las lecciones fueron educativas y divertidas! Nos reímos mucho y el tiempo voló!

Practicamos el idioma mientras caminábamos en la valle hermoso. Aprendemos mucho sobre la política española, sobre problemas del medio ambiente y la vida cotidiana en los Pirineos.

Nuestra profesora de español en Holanda estaba muy sorprendida sobre nuestro progreso.

Con mi esposo y mis dos hijos estuvimos una semana entera con Pablo y Lorena con todo incluido, para que mis hijos de 9 y 11 años pudieran hacer un curso intensivo de español.  Fue una experiencia muy especial y única para toda la familia.  Los niños tenían lecciones todos los días de 9 a 13 y Pablo había elaborado un programa muy personalizado para ellos.  Durante el desayuno, el almuerzo y la cena se habló español y aprendieron mucho de esto.  A los niños les encantó Pablo y Lorena y todos nos lo pasamos genial.  Palabras clave: Semana productiva, buena compañía, bello entorno, hermosa experiencia. Momento memorable y destacado: la salida a una granja de cabras con un hermoso paseo por el bosque con una deliciosa canasta de picnic preparada por Pablo y también que todas las tardes Pablo encendía la chimenea, muy acogedor. Muy recomendable. Gracias Pablo y Lorena.

Met mijn man en 2 kinderen verbleven wij een hele week all inclusive bij Pablo en Lorena zodat mijn 2 kinderen van 9 en 11 een intensieve cursus Spaans konden doen. Dit was een hele bijzondere en unieke ervaring voor de hele familie. De kinderen hadden elke dag les van 9 tot 13 en Pablo had een heel aangepast programma voor ze samengesteld. Tijdens het ontbijt lunch en avondeten werd Spaans gesproken en hier hebben ze heel veel van geleerd. De kinderen waren gek op Pablo en Lorena en wij hebben ons ook enorm vermaakt. Kernwoorden: Productieve week, goed gezelschap, prachtige omgeving, mooie ervaring. Hoogte punt, het uitje naar een geitenboerderij met een prachtige boswandeling met een heerlijk door Pablo meegegeven picknicmand. Ook dat Pablo iedere avond de openhaard aanstak maakte het super gezellig. Zeker aan te bevelen. 

I've just come back from a second visit with Magali and Pablo in the Pyrenees. I spend two weeks with them almost two years ago in the summer. It was fabulous then it was fabulous now in mid November. The weather was wonderful if you like walking in the hills with mountain tops covered in snow and the trees at the end of their autumn splendour. Magali and Pablo provided wonderful language instruction as well great company. You manage to learn a tonne because of the one-on-one approach and their easy-going manner. I can't imagine a more profitable way to spend a week if you want to learn Spanish and go walking in an incredibly beautiful area. I also recommend it off-season, which adds a little extra something to the experience.

I stayed with Magali and Pablo from Mountain & Language one week in October. For me it was a vacation and Spanish language course in one. The course is completely directed to the students level and depending your progress during the week, Magali and Pablo are able to improvise to do some extra or take a step back. The mountains are incredible beautiful and every class we spend time walking in nature as well. Actually you spake much more Spanish with Magali and Pablo then just the hours of your course. You learn about local food and traditions and they make you feel at home in their home. An added plus in my opinion is that you're not in a classroom with a group of young people who want to go as quickly as possible to the beach...

Me quedé con Magali y Pablo de Mountain & Language por una semana en Octubre. Para mi fue vacaciones y un curso de lengua española en uno. El curso está dirigido por completo al nivel del estudiante y en función de su progreso durante la semana, Magali y Pablo pueden de improvisar para hacer un poco más ó dar un paso atrás. Las montañas son increíblemente hermosa y todas las clases que pasan el tiempo caminando en la naturaleza también. En realidad se habló mucho más español con Magali y Pablo que solo las horas de su curso. Aprendes acerca de la comida y las tradiciones locales y su casa es tu casa. Una ventaja adicional en mi opinión es que no estás en un aula con un grupo de jovenes que quieren ir lo mas rápido posible a la playa...

Magali and Pablo very kindly accommodated the four of us (parents and two kids 9 & 11) for a week in August. We felt comfortable, relaxed and welcome at all times. My husband and I spent long evenings chatting in our limited Spanish with Magali and Pablo, we had great fun and our confidence and conversation increased as the week went by. The children were quite timid (they are learning Spanish at school but don't like speaking in front of us) but Magali and Pablo always went out of their way to help them to feel comfortable and relaxed and so managed to get the most out of them. By the end of the week we were all exhausted but felt we'd really achieved something wonderful.

The location is stunning and we did some amazing walks with the lessons and the kids had a great time. It's a different sort of holiday but one I'd definitely like to do again. One of the things I loved was being free to concentrate on the language and enjoy being outdoors without having to plan where to go (Magali and Pablo sort out beautiful excursions) and thinking about food for the family! Magali and Pablo both produced some delicious meals which was great because after all that talking and the fresh air you're starving!

Je suis ravie de mon séjour. Je venais surtout pour parler (et écouter), car j'ai appris l'espagnol surtout à l'écrit, mais je suis très agréablement surprise. Bien sûr, je faisais plein de fautes, mais je comprenais, et je parlais… La conversation avec Magali et Pablo est facile. Et les cours dans la nature sont un bonheur. C'étaient des vacances studieuses, mais des vacances quand même !

Superbe sèjour qui nous a permis de parler beaucoup sans complexes, et qui nous a permis de dècouvrir les produits locaux des Pyrénées. 

Las clases de español han sido muy personalizadas. Hemos llegado con un nivel bajo y hemos progresado mucho. Pablo y Magali son muy acogedores. Nos han gustado mucho los productos regionales. 

I can´t think of a better way to learn Spanish and to experience the Pyrenees. Everything from the accomodations to the lessons to the walks was perfect. I loved the walkings Spanish lessons! Also the relaxed conversations during breakfast, lunch and dinner.

I can´t wait to return. Thank you so much Magali and Pablo!

A great bed, wonderful lunches and dinners and gentle training. what else do you want? Magali and Pablo love to walk and love to teach. I was amazed to hear myself tell a complete story at the end of week. Of course still with mistakes, but i gained a lot of confidence! 

Dieser Sprachurlaub war das Beste was wir machen konnten. Unsere Spanischkenntnisse wurden merklich besser und das Reden viel uns zunehmend leichter. Wir genossen den spielerisch gestallteten Unterricht in der Aktivität sehr. Die Gastfreundschaft und Grosszügigkeit von Magali und Pablo sind herzerwärmend. Ihr erfrischender Humor hat uns manche Träne gekostet! Nie war es ihnen zu viel uns in der Freizeitgestalltung mit Wandertipps, Mountenbikes oder Transportservice zu unterstützen. Ihre Kochkünste sind ausgezeichnet und abwechslungsreich. Während den gemeinsamen Mahlzeiten wurde viel gelacht und über Gott und die Welt geredet. 

Me ha encantado el programa de Mountain and Language. La combinación entre enseñanza al aire libre y dentro de la casa, la comida de la región y hacer ejercicios en la zona. Para mi es perfecto – porque me gusta mucho correr, montar en bicicleta y hacer excursiones! Los Pirineos son preciosos!  Magali y Pablo son muy amables, felices y buenos profesores de español. Recomiendo este programa a todas las personas que quieren aprender español. 

Jeg likte denne kombinasjonen av å lære spansk, oppleve kulturen og naturen meget godt. I tillegg til undervisningen foregikk all konversasjon på spansk – meget effektiv måte å lære seg språket på.  Jeg vil anbefale dette opplegget til alle som ønsker å lære seg spansk, samtidig som det er rikelig med tid til å farte rundt i det fantastiske området – til fots, sykkel eller bil. Til slutt, og ikke minst – vertskapet/lærerne er svært vennlige, blide og veldig lette å være sammen med.

Las lecciones de español han sido fantásticas. Lo que más gusta son las conjugaciones de verbos en voz alta porque era muy divertido y como un niño otra vez! La casa me gusta mucho con un baño solo para mi. La comida era muy buena. Lo mejor la amistad!

Mi estancia con Mountain and Language fue un sueño. Para una persona a la que gusta la montaña y que desea aprender español es dificil imaginar una experiencia más rica. Caminar en las bonitas montañas de los Pirineos y aprender una lengua al mismo tiempo es un ideal educativo. Las clases de Mountain and Language son de una calidad excepcional. Lo que más me ha gustado ha sido la personalización del programa. Las actividades y lugares visitados durante el curso me han encantado. Recomendaría Mountain and Language a todos los que aprecian la montaña y que quieren aprender la lengua española. Es una experiencia única. 

My time with Mountain and Language was extraordinary. Being able to go for hikes in the Pyrenees and learn Spanish at the same time was a unique opportunity. I found myself making lots of progress simply by doing something I love. So if you like the mountain and want to learn Spanish Mountain and Language could be just the ticket. It was for me. 

Mountain and Language, es un absoluto deber! Mi español mejoró mucho durante unas cortas vacaciones en los Pirineos españoles. Gracias a la organización: son muy entusiastas y profesionales de la montaña y de la formación de español.
